RE:	Adoption of the 2010 Action Plan and Investment Summary

The City Commission will consider adoption of the 2010 Action Plan and Investment Summary at its regular meeting Tuesday, May 11, 2010.  The Consolidated Plan is required by the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 and is the result of a collaborative process whereby a community establishes a unified vision for community development using federal, state, and local funds. 

The 2010 Action Plan includes the one year Investment Summary (attached and page 3 in the Action Plan) for the upcoming 2010 program year (August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011).  The Action Plan is available on the department website at www.lawrenceks.org/pds and has been available to the public since March 31, 2010.  Staff will be available to answer questions and the Chair of the Community Development Advisory Committee, Vern Norwood, will also be present at the meeting. 

To date, no written comments have been received by the department.
