Hawk Zone 2010 use of right-of-way

In conjunction with the KU Spring Football Game, Downtown Lawrence, Inc. has partnered with Hy-Vee to bring the Hy-Vee Hawk Zone to downtown on Saturday, April 24, 2010. DLI submitted the attached temporary use of right-of-way permit application to close 8th Street from Massachusetts Street west to the alley on Saturday, April 24 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This time frame includes set up and tear down time. The street will be utilized for inflatables, live music, and street performers. Staff will work with DLI to block the street and control traffic appropriately and provide other city services.
ACTION: Approve temporary use of right-of-way permit for DLI for the Hy-Vee Hawk Zone on 8th Street from Massachusetts west to the alley on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
