Please include the following item on the City Commission Agenda for consideration at the April 6, 2010 meeting:

Set a bid opening date of May 18, 2010 for Bid Number B1020 2010 Pump & Motor Rehab.

Project Description

Utilities Department is requesting to bid fifty five (55) pumps and motors (out of 525) for rebuild or replacement from the maintenance management system.  These are the pumps and motors used in the transportation of water and wastewater used at the treatment plants and throughout the city.  This is the Pump and Rehab Program that the Department has used to maintain the reliability of the pumping system for numerous years.  In an effort to consolidate and make the process more efficient for city personnel and vendors, the fifty-five (55) pumps and motors will be bid at once instead of individually, as had been done in years past.

Project Funding

Funding for the work is from the 2010 Operations and Maintenance fund.

Action Request

Set a bid opening date of May 18, 2010 for Bid Number B1020 2010 Pump & Motor Rehab.
