ONE (1) SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE – POLICE DEPARTMENT – #B1013
The Police Department requested bids for a sports utility vehicle. This vehicle is requested for patrol after departmental analysis of operational needs during the winter of 2009-2010, as approved by the City Manager 02/01/2010 and as accepted by the City Commission on consent agenda 02/09/2010. The vehicle being used now will be moved to the Detective fleet that will replace an old unmarked car.
Laird Noller Automotive’s bid is within 1% of Shawnee Mission Ford’s bid, therefore the local preference policy applies. This purchase was approved in the 2010 budgeting process.
