RE:                  Agenda Item – Set Bid Date for Bid Number B1018 Stoneridge Tank Site Landscaping

Please include the following item on the City Commission Agenda for consideration at the March 9, 2010 meeting:

Set a bid opening date of March 23, 2010 for Bid Number B1018 Stoneridge Tank Landscaping, Project 6CP906.

Project Description

As of July 2009 Landmark Structures had completed the Stoneridge Tank construction with the exception of the correct landscaping and seeding of the site. A deductive change order was approved in the amount of $20,500.00 to address the improper/incomplete landscaping as well as liquidated damages based on late achievement of substantial completion. The Utilities Department is now requesting to bid the remaining landscaping work and 2010 seasonal maintenance to complete this project.

Project Funding

Funding for the work is from the original project funds in the Utility Department Capital Improvement Project bonded construction fund via the deductive change order come. Additional funds for the 2010 seasonal maintenance will come from the 2010 Operations and Maintenance fund.

Action Request

Set a bid opening date of March 23, 2010 for Bid Number B1018 Stoneridge Tank Landscaping, Project 6CP906.
