RE:	Health Department Resolution

The Douglas County – City of Lawrence Health Department has proposed the attached Resolution.  It has been prepared by Douglas County staff and approved by the County Commission.  Staff believes it is in appropriate form to proceed with approval at this time as well.

The Health Department is funded sixty percent (60%) by Douglas County and forty percent (40%) by the City of Lawrence. Staff has previously provided the City Commission with a comparison of property taxes paid by City of Lawrence and non-City of Lawrence property taxpayers, a chart indicating 2010 efforts is attached as well.
