Chair called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m.
Review and approve minutes from September 24, 2009
After review Jarboe moved to accept the minutes as written. Seconded by Mohr. Pass 4-0.
Discuss significant changes to 2009 IFGC.
The board reviewed the changes to the 2009 IFGC and there were no specific concerns of the changes.
Chaney moved to accept the 2009 IFGC as written. Seconded by Wyatt. Pass 4-0.
Miscellaneous
Mohr stated he would have a proposal on amending the condensate drain sizes table in the 2009 IMC.
Staff advised the board that the state statute regarding open meetings had been changed and in a board of five it was permissible for two members to talk without violating the open meetings act, and that the ordinance could be amended removing the quorum minimum of four to have a meeting.
The board decided to add the discussion to the next meeting agenda.
Bill Schweitzer addressed the board and requested the board review the 2009 Uniform Mechanical Code as an alternate to the 2009 IMC.
Wyatt stated the board had a directive from the City Commission to use the International family of codes and the only way they could review the UMC was to receive direction from the City Commission.
Mohr said he did not want to waste the board’s time reviewing a code they were not going to end up using.
The board took no action.
Motion to adjourn made by Chaney. Seconded by Mohr, pass 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
