Park Place Apartments (SP-10-46-09) Variance Request to City Code 19-302(1)(B) to Allow Master Water Meters for Buildings A, C, G, H, J, and K |
Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the February 2, 2010 meeting:
Approval of the request by Paul Werner Architects, on behalf of the owner, Boardwalk Apartments, LC, for a variance from City Code 19-302(1)(B) which states that “apartments houses having twelve living units or less shall have a water meter for each living unit, unless the installation of a single meter for all units is applied for by the owner and approved by the City Commission.”
Park Place Apartments is a proposed multi-family development located at Frontier Road and Fireside Drive that includes a clubhouse, a pool, five 24-unit buildings, and six 12-unit buildings. The property owner is Boardwalk Apartments, LC, and the applicant’s agent is Paul Werner Architects. Paul Werner Architects, on behalf of the owner, has applied for a the variance allowing the single master water meter installations for six buildings A, C, G, H, J, and K, which have 12 units. (see attached letter and site plan).
Per the attached letter Paul Werner Architects has documented the installation of master water meters adequate to provide the appropriate supply of water to the tenants.
