HVAC Contract for Community Health Department Building

 

On December 22, 2009 the City of Lawrence opened proposals for the HVAC Maintenance contract for the Community Health Department Building at 200 Maine Street.

Project Details:  The primary contract objective was to provide a full service maintenance and preventive maintenance program for all listed HVAC/mechanical equipment at the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine St., Lawrence KS.  This is a full maintenance contract which includes labor, parts and parts replacement; also included are a minimum of (4) four preventive maintenance visits per year.

 

Contractors were asked to provide two bids: Bid #1 for full maintenance contract including compressors, and Bid #2 for full maintenance contract excluding compressors.

 

Project Schedule:  This is a one-year contract with a renewable option for at least two more years with the agreement of both the City of Lawrence and the mechanical contractor.

 

Project Funding:  Funded in the 2010 budget under Account # 001-2500-563-26.09. 

     

Action Request:  Approve bid “Option #2” (full maintenance contract, excluding compressors) with Chaney, Inc.  in the amount of $18,000 with yearly renewable options.
