Please place the following on the December 19, 2010 City Commission consent agenda for their consideration:
Award bid for 2010 bus shelter maintenance services for the Lawrence Transit System to The Works for $10,618.40.
Background
The Lawrence Transit System requested bids for bus shelter maintenance services for 2010. The services included contractors to provide cleaning service biweekly, trash removal weekly, light maintenance, and decal installation services as requested for transit shelters located throughout the City of Lawrence.
The following table illustrates the results of the bids received December 23, 2009.

Recommended Action:
Staff recommends the City Commission authorize the City Manager to award the bid for 2010 bus shelter maintenance services for the Lawrence Transit System to The Works for $10,618.40.
