RE:	Transit Service Recommendations and Public Hearings

A series of recommendations have been submitted by the consultants pertaining to our current efforts toward coordinating transit service between the City and KU. The recommendations include the following changes:

• #3 Major changes to routing and timing
• #4 Major changes to routing and timing
• #5 Major changes to routing and timing
• #6 Major changes to routing and timing
• #7 Moderate changes to routing and timing
• #26 Moderate changes to routing and timing

As part of our public participation process we have set up a series of public hearings to gain comments and direction from the general public. These meetings are scheduled for the following dates:

• Wednesday, January 20

6:00 p.m. Indoor Aquatic Center, tom Wilkerson Room

• Thursday, January 21

6:00 p.m. Douglas County Fairgrounds, Building 21 (south)

• Friday, January 22

11:00 a.m. Community Building, Multipurpose Room

• Monday, January 25

6:00 p.m. Prairie Park Nature Center

• Tuesday, January 26

Alderson Auditorium, Kansas Union

• Wednesday, January 27

4:00 p.m. Lawrence Visitor Center, Union Pacific Depot

• Thursday, January 28

11:00 a.m. Holcom Park Recreation Center

Final route recommendations will come before the City Commission for final approval.
