RE:	Transportation Enhancement Grant- Design Cost Issue

The TE Grant match information included in the packet for December 8, 2009 needs adjustment.  The project estimates completed by the architect also include design costs, which are not an eligible expense in the TE grant.  The local match must include the 20% minimum, plus 100% of the design costs.  For the priority 1 items, this would increase the total match requirement to approximately $175,000 and the match required for a project including all items to $406,000.  Again, it’s important to note that these are all just estimates and final design may not be at a 10% level.

I apologize about the confusion this creates.  I was so busy concentrating on the eligibility of the project elements that I neglected to account for this. 

In order to explain this visually, I have updated the matrix sheet that was prepared yesterday to show how the local match changes.
