Aviation Advisory Board Minutes

September 30, 2009

MEMBERS PRESENT:	Gary Fish, Theresa Gordzica, Richard Haig, Tom Kern, Bob Newton & Stan Sneegas
MEMBERS ABSENT:	Tom Rainbolt
STAFF PRESENT:	Chuck Soules
PUBLIC PRESENT:	Lloyd Hetrick – FBO

Richard Haig called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

1. Review and approval of August 24, 2009 meeting minutes

The August 24, 2009 Board Meeting minutes were reviewed.  Theresa Gordzica moved and Richard Haig seconded the motion to approve the minutes.  Motion passed by a vote of 6-0.

2. Airport Manager’s Report

Chuck Soules updated the Board concerning the items in the attached Airport Manager’s Report.  The Board was very pleased with the timely efforts of City Staff to provide services to airport tenants.

3. FBO Report

Lloyd Hetrick advised the Board that anticipated Race day traffic is down.  He also advised the City Staff that 6 of 8 exterior flood lights need to be replaced.

4. Junior Leadership Flights at the Airport

Chuck Soules updated the Board concerning the October 8, 2009 flights for the Junior Leadership Students.  Lloyd will open the airport at 7:30 AM, pilots will arrive at 8:00 AM and the students should arrive by 8:30 AM.  Board Chair Richard Haig will prepare a presentation for the students.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:30 p.m.
