SIDING AND INSULATION FOR LANDSCAPE SHOP – PARKS & RECREATION – Bid#09055 |
The Parks and Recreation Department requested bids for the installation of new siding and insulation on the Landscape Division shop at 1110 Haskell. The existing metal siding is leaking during hard rains. This has caused the insulation inside the building to mold. This project will include removal of the old siding and insulation from the outside of the building. Followed by the installation of new insulation, windows, siding and trim on the entire exterior of the building. This project will also make the facility more energy efficient.
The low bid from Larry A. Acton did not include hidden damage which was required in the bid specifications. They would require to increase the cost with a change order for labor and material for rotted wood and other damaged area that need replacement. The next low bid from GSR Construction does include repair of all hidden damage.
