RE:	Elwell Lease – Barb Wire Building

City staff has been in discussions with Mike Elwell, the lessee of the Barb Wire Building, regarding renewal of the lease agreement from 1999.  The existing lease has an option for Elwell to renew the term for an additional ten (10) year period.  Elwell has requested renewal and provided the requisite payments and insurance certificates pursuant to the lease.  City staff recommends extension of the agreement for an additional term.

Action Requested:

Authorize the Mayor to execute an Agreement for Lease Renewal between the City of Lawrence and Mike Elwell.
