RE:	Additional information on Sprinkler Incentive Program

The City previously had a downtown sprinkler incentive program that was funded for a total of $250,000 in 2007 and 2008.  The City received applications from 36 downtown businesses.  These locations were ranked based on building characteristics.  A total of $235,268 was expended on nine properties.   Because of budget priorities, the program did not proceed with additional projects in the downtown area although some of the early applicants would qualify for consideration.

The remaining funds are still in the Utilities Department non-bonded construction fund.
