The following provides information about the current ownership and the make up of the ownership of the property at 4950 Research Drive that the Lawrence Douglas County Bioscience Authority is requesting that the City and the County purchase. The real estate broker for the property, Marilyn Bittenbender, has provided the following information. The property is currently owned by a partnership: New Oread Group.
The New Oread Group partnership is made up of the following partners:
Sam D. Campbell (Lawrence) 25%
James W. Parrish (Topeka) 25%
Kathleen R. Urbom (Topeka) 12.5%
J.F.M. Limited Partnership I 37.5%
The J.F.M. Limited Partnership I, is an interest of the McGivern family trust. Mark McGivern of Topeka, part of the family trust, has been the spokesperson for the family trust.
As noted in other materials, Crititech will remain a tenant in the West Lawrence labs building under the transferred ownership. Sam Campbell, currently a minority owner in the partnership owning the building, is an investor and CEO of Crititech.
