RE:	Appointments for various boards and commissions

I recommend the following individual(s) for appointment(s).  I have included phone numbers, if available.  Please feel free to call any of them to discuss their potential appointments.  I believe they are willing to answer your questions or receive any comments you might have.

Lawrence Alliance:

Reappoint the following individuals:

· Robbie Derritt to a second term that expires 11/30/11

· Susan Cooper to a first full term that expires 11/30/11

· Peter Luckey to a third term that expires 11/30/11

· Baha Safadi to a second term that expires 11/30/11

· Asra Haq to a first full term that expires 11/30/11

Appoint Cynthia Colbert to a position that would expire 11/30/11.

Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission:

Appoint Lori Madaus to a position that expires 01/31/12.

Lawrence-Douglas County Advocacy Council on Aging:

Reappoint the following individuals:

· Don Penny, to a term that would expire 12/31/10

· Mary Rosenthal, to a term that would expire 12/31/10

· Vern Norwood, to a term that would expire 12/31/11

· Elaine Penny, to a term that would expire 12/31/11

· Donna Swall, to a term that would expire 12/31/11

· Saunny Scott, to a term that would expire 12/31/11

The board had not been meeting on a regular basis and is starting to meet again.  The terms for the reappointments above are continued from the previous term length.
