The Development Services Division issued 167 permits with total construction value of $2,774,787 in September 2009 compared to 177 permits valued at $8,157,505 in September of 2008.  Fees amounted to $26,037.30 compared to $60,138.89 last year.  These statistics will be tracked throughout the year in the following table:

Fifteen permits were issued for new single-family dwellings, compared to 10 single-family and six duplexes in September last year.  The number of permits and total number of residential units will be tracked throughout the year in the following table, similar to permit valuation and fees:

Permits were issued for three public projects in September:

 

A press box for the Free State High School football stadium, 4700 Overland Dr - $150,000

Ticket booths for the Free State High School football stadium, 4700 Overland Dr – $10,000

Renovations to the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont - $80,000
