Project History.  On March 3, 2009 the City received a petition for street, water and sanitary sewer improvements for Fairfield East Addition No. 1.  The City Commission approved Resolution 6831 and 6832 establishing the respective benefit district.

 

Project Description.  The project includes street, curb and gutter, sidewalks, water main, sanitary sewer main, and lift station/force main for the development.  The benefit district will pay 100% of the cost of the improvements.  No city funds will be used.

 

Method of Assessment: 

Streets, sidewalk, water main, front footage

 

       Estimated cost:

$1,666,700.00

Sanitary sewer/force main – square footage

 

       Estimated cost:

$   450,000.00

 

 

Action Request. 

  1. Approve bid from King’s Construction for Project PW0915, Fairfield East Addition No. 1, Street, Stormwater and Waterline Improvements, in the amount of $1,286,904.30, and
  2. Approve bid from Larkin Excavating for Project No. 09S003, Fairfield East Addition No. 1, Sanitary Sewer Improvements, in the amount of $133,690.18, and
  3. Approve bid from King’s Construction for Project No. 09S004, Fairfield East Addition No. 1, Lift Station, in the amount of $149,000.00,

provided the contractors can meet the terms established in the contract documents.
