EXTENTION OF LEASE AGREEMENT

 

 

            THIS EXTENSION, made this _____ day of __________, 2009, between the CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, a city of the first class under the laws of the State of Kansas (hereafter called “Lessor”) and HEALTH CARE ACCESS, INC., a not-for-profit organization under the laws of the state of Kansas (hereafter called “Lessee”).

 

            WHEREAS, by lease agreement effective November 1, 1991, (the “lease”), Lessor agreed to lease to Lessee and Lessee agreed to lease from Lessor that certain real estate and building located at 1920 Moodie Road, Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas; and

 

            WHEREAS, the lease has been previously amended and will expire on October 31, 2009; and

 

            WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend the term of the Lease for an additional five (5) years.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, for one dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration, Lessor and Lessee do mutually agree and covenant to extend the term of said lease until October 31, 2014.  Except as amended herein, Lessor and Lessee reaffirm all other covenants, rules and conditions of said Lease.

 

            The below signed individuals state that they are empowered to bind the respective parties to this addendum to lease agreement by affixing their signatures.
