ONE (1) SELF PROPELLED GREENS AERATOR – PARKS & RECREATION – Bid#09037 |
Parks and Recreation requested bids for a greens aerator. This equipment is to aerate the golf course greens at Eagle Bend. It will replace the 1999 model in service now which had multiple breakdowns during our spring aeration. Due to this equipment being so specialized we requested trade in prices. There are no aerators on for sale on Gov Deals or Ebay for a comparison.
The low bid from Redexim Charterhouse did not meet our minimum specifications. Their machine was 18 HP and a 23HP was required, they bid a 28” width and a 48” was required and their automatic contour specs did not match our requirements. The next low bid from MTI Distribution for $17,405.00 meets all required specifications. No local vendors bid on this equipment.
This purchase was approved in the 2009 budgeting process.
