Meeting called to order at 4:20 p.m.
Review and approve minutes from October 13, 2008
Wyatt made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Sparks seconded the motion. Pass 4-0.
Elect Chair and Vice-Chair
Sparkes moved to elect Wyatt as Chair. Seconded by Jarboe. Pass 3-0.
Sparkes moved to elect Mohr as Vice-Chair. Seconded by Chaney. Pass 4-0.
Discuss use of insulation materials for ductwork
Staff stated an issue came up with the installation of the “bubble wrap” style duct wrap. The material was not being installed per the manufacturer’s installation instructions, but has since been corrected by the contractor.
Update on 2009 I-Codes
Staff briefed the board on the status of the new 2009 International Codes. The goal is to have the codes reviewed by December 31st, 2009.
Chaney stated if the board has the significant changes book, the process should run smoothly.
The board took no action.
Miscellaneous
Wyatt was concerned with the fees for changeouts stated when both a furnace and air conditioner was installed was double the fee at $130. Wyatt suggested reducing the fee when both are installed at the same time.
Sparkes stated it may be difficult to have the fee changed now.
The board took no action.
