Volunteers continue to assist in flower planting efforts
The Parks and Recreation Department continues to have an excellent response from volunteers for planting spring flowers. Attached are photos of volunteers planting flowers Downtown, in South Park, and at the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum. Volunteers also helped flowers at Buford Watson Park, City Hall, Eagle Bend Golf Course and the U.P. Depot. Forty-five volunteers worked approximately four hours each for more than 180 work hours (a value of about $2,000).
