Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Grant Agreement |
The City has received the Grant Agreement from the State of Kansas regarding the NSP grant. The City has been allocated $562,134 for two projects. One is the redevelopment of vacant property in the 1100 block of Rhode Island for the “Rhode Island Roost Rentals”; five units of rental housing for low and moderate income tenants. Two of the units will be fully accessible. The second project will consist of the purchase and rehabilitation for future sale to low and moderate income homeowners of up to two foreclosed properties. City staff will be partnering with Tenants to Homeowners, Inc. on both projects. It is anticipated the projects will begin within the next few months and be completed by June, 2010.
