Please include the following item on the City Commission consent agenda for consideration at the April 14^th, 2009 meeting:

Approve agreement between City of Lawrence, Parks and Cesare Concessions and Catering

I. Project/Item Description.  Agreement between the City of Lawrence, Parks and Cesare Concessions and Catering; providing supervision at sport complexes.

II. Project Description/History.  Provides supervision at the sport complexes and batting cages.  Supervision used to be handled in-house until 2006 when the original addendum took place with concession vendor.

III. Project/Purchase Status.  Supervising the youth sports complexes, adult sports softball complex and batting cages.

IV. Project/Item Funding.  The City agrees to waive the payment due from the Contractor pursuant to paragraph 3 of the 2009 Agreement for Concessionaire Services, dated December 18, 2008.  In addition to waiving said fees in 2009, the City agrees to pay the Contractor a sum not to exceed $5,000 in 2009 as provided in this paragraph.

V. Action Request.  The Parks and Recreation Department requests approval to proceed with this agreement between the City of Lawrence, Parks and Cesare Concessions and Catering.
