March 2009 Monthly Permit Report

 

 

There were 144 permits issued in March 2009, compared to 153 in 2008.  Permit valuation was $14,411,989 compared to $6,155,701 last year.  Fees were $86,271.48 compared to $48,685.77 last year.  These statistics will be tracked throughout the year in the following table:

One permit was issued for a new single-family dwelling along with two duplex permits, compared to eight single-family and no duplex permits in March last year.  The number of permits and total number of residential units will be tracked throughout the year in the following table, similar to permit valuation and fees:

The highest valued projects for which permits were issued in March were The Grove apartments at 4301 W 24th Place, valued at $10,355,254, and a CVS Pharmacy at 4841 Bauer Farm Drive valued at $2,486,000.  Five permits for new commercial projects have been issued in 2009, compared to two at this time last year, and 11 for the entire year in 2008.
