The work referenced above shall be completed according to the following phased schedule. Each crosswalk shall be completed in two parts to allow at least one lane of traffic to be kept open at all times. The scheduled time for the completion of each phase shall be one week, and each subsequent phase shall be scheduled to begin the week following the completion of the previous phase. The work for each phase shall commence on a Monday and shall be completed and ready for full loading of traffic by 5 P.M. of the succeeding Friday. Time shall be of the essence in this contract.
A. Phase one shall commence on March 23, 2009 and shall include that portion of the three crosswalks in the southbound traffic lane of Massachusetts Street between the south side of the 9th Street intersection and the north side of the 10th Street intersection.
B. Phase two shall commence on March 30, 2008 and shall include that portion of the three crosswalks in the northbound traffic lane of Massachusetts Street between the south side of the 9th Street intersection and the north side of the 10th Street intersection.
C. Phase three shall commence on April 6, 2008 and shall include that portion of the crosswalk on the north side of the 9th Street and Massachusetts Street intersection and the two crosswalks south of the south side of the 10th Street and Massachusetts Street intersection located in the southbound traffic lane of Massachusetts Street.
D. Phase four shall commence on April 13, 2008 and shall include that portion of the crosswalk on the north side of the 9th Street and Massachusetts Street intersection and the two crosswalks south of the south side of the 10th Street and Massachusetts Street intersection located in the northbound traffic lane of Massachusetts Street.
