DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS

Bidder shall complete every space in the BIDDER’S PROPOSAL section by either a check mark to indicate the item being bid is exactly as specified or a description to indicate any deviation of the item being bid from the specification.

SECTION 1		SPECIFICATIONS	BIDDER’S PROPOSAL
GENERAL		Bids are requested to provide three (3) current year and model tractor/loader/back-hoes with four-wheel drive and extendable rear digging boom to meet the following minimum specifications. MFG. MODEL YEAR NOTE: Any additions, deletions or variations from the following specifications must be noted. Any items appearing in the manufacturer’s regular published specifications furnished by the bidder are assumed to be included in the bidder’s proposal. Any additions, deletions or variations from the manufacturer’s regular published specifications must be noted in the “BIDDER’S PROPOSAL” column.

ENGINE		4 CLY. Turbo Diesel 97 Gross HP 276 cu. in. (approx.)
TRANSMISSION		Four speed, shift on the go, power shift with hydraulic reverser and single stage torque converter.
FINAL DRIVES		Heavy duty, inboard planetary.
AXLES		Axle ratings (SAE J43) Front: 22,360 lbs. Rear:   15,530 lbs. Must have differential lock.
TIRES		Front: 12.5/80-18, 10 PR Rear: 21L-24, 10PR
STEERING		Hydrostatic power steering and emergency steering to conform to ISO5010.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM		Pressure compensated load-sensing system with a pressure main relief of 3,625 psi and an axial piston pump that has a flow of 42 gpm. Must have an oil return filter of at least 10- micron.
LOADER BUCKET		Multipurpose 4 in 1 style with bolt on smooth lip cutting edge and a capacity of at least 1.25 cu.yd. Breakout force-10,210 lb. Lifting capacity-7,300 lb. Lifting height to hinge pin-11 ft. Single lever control.
BACKHOE		Must have an extendable backhoe with a reach of at least 27.4 ft. from the center of the rear axle. The boom must be configured so the outer boom extends over a fixed inner boom so objects can be grasp between the boom and the bucket when the boom is extended or retracted without dropping the objects. Must have a 24” heavy duty bucket for each machine, 1(only) 18’ bucket and a coupler to accept CASE and JOHN DEERE buckets. Note: If a coupler is not available to use Case style buckets , a separate price should be given for 1 36” smooth lip ditching buckets and 1 heavy-duty 12” bucket. The Division also has a hydraulic breaker and hydraulic compactor with a Case style coupler. A price to modify these must also be given. Digging force, bucket cylinder-14,800 lb. Digging force, crowd cylinder-8,700 lb. 2 stick controls. Accessory hydraulics with quick couplers for stick-mounted attachments required.
CAB	Full cab with headliner, dome light, left and right locking doors, tinted safety glass, one front and one rear windshield wipers, front windshield washer, fresh air intake heater/defroster/air conditioning/pressurizer, 95 amp alternator, AM/FM/weather band radio, suspension fabric swivel seat with arm rests and tilt steering wheel.
OTHER EQUIPMENT	Electric ether starting aid. Engine coolant heater, 1000 watt. Mechanical front wheel drive with limited slip differential. Pivoting stabilizer pads for street and dirt. Auxiliary backhoe valve for hammers or compactors. Ride control. Duel batteries. Any extra lighting packages offered for night Operation. Rotating beacon. 900 lb. Front counterweight. Front grill screen. One machine shall be equipped with a hydraulic thumb and one machine shall be equipped with a hydraulic clam style rear 24”bucket and the appropriate cab mounted operator controls. (These controls are not necessary on the third machine)
MANUALS	Six (6) operator’s manuals. Two (2) parts manuals. Two (2) maintenance manuals. The parts and maintenance manuals may be on CD. NOTE: These manuals must be delivered with the machines.
TRADE IN	One 2003 4x4 Loader/backhoe, a John Deere model 410 E with apporx. 3200 hrs..
METHOED OF PAYMENT	The Public Works Department desires to lease this equipment for a period of three years, 600 hours per year, with the option to purchase at the end of the lease period. We want to make a one time up front payment and have a guaranteed purchase price with the option either to purchase one or all machines and return one or all at the end of the lease period. Any extra buckets or modifications to existing attachments should be priced separately for out right purchase.
SERVICING	Machines shall be serviced by vendor prior to delivery.
TRAINING	Vendor shall provide operator training upon delivery of machines.

WARRANTY	Must have a full machine warranty, except for standard wear items, for the full length of the lease period. Must also have the option to purchase an extended warranty if the machine is purchased.
