Our transportation provider, First Student, has 100 buses, all have been retrofitted and the newer buses have emission reduction systems from the factory.  They are all diesel, and the oldest is a 1995, but is just a spare.  There are 12 older than 2000 models, eight are ‘98s; four are ‘97s and are scheduled for replacement this year.  Our current contract provides for no older than 12 years of age as a route bus.  Average fleet age is 5 years.
