• Adopt key policies and procedures for advancing economic development efforts in Lawrence:

a. Overarching policy for cashlike incentives

b. Update to tax abatement policy

c. Benefit-cost model

d. Other policies as needs are identified by City leadership

• Provide the highest level service to businesses seeking city assistance with relocation or expansion

• Studies and analyses as requested by City management

• Provide the economic “Barometer report” for the City of Lawrence and Douglas County every quarter

• Complete the annual update to the Lawrence retail survey

• Monitor abatement compliance through the annual report submitted to PIRC
