RE:	2008 Lawrence Police Department Racial Profiling Report

Attached, please find the Lawrence Police Department’s 2008 racial profiling report.  A report must be filed annually with the Kansas Attorney General for each law enforcement agency in the state.  Section 1-2503(5) of the City Code requires that this report also be presented to the Lawrence Citizen Advisory Board, and this will be done at their next meeting, which is scheduled for January 26^th, 2009.

A review of the report shows that there were no complaints of racial profiling filed with the Lawrence Police Department during the year 2008.
