ORDINANCE NO. 8353

AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY PURSUANT TO SECTION 4-105 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS PURSUANT TO A SIDEWALK DINING AND HOSPITALITY LICENSE FOR TEAPOURO TEA & ESPRESSO, 712 MASSACHUSETTS STREET

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

Section 1.        From and after the effective date of this ordinance, the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted in the public right of way described as follows:  

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 28 on Massachusetts Street in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas; thence west along the south line of Lot 28 a distance of 6.5 feet; thence north 24.5 feet; thence East 6.5 feet; thence south 24.5 feet to the point of beginning.  Contains 150.25 square feet more or less.

All pursuant to Section 4-105 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2008 Edition.  Provided, that the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the above described property shall be pursuant to all applicable State and City laws, including but not limited to the requirements of the sidewalk dining and hospitality license granted to SJC VII, LLC.

Section 2.        This ordinance shall be effective from and after its publication as provided by law.
