PROJECT STATUS:
Plans for the improvements have been reviewed by the City, and a highway permit has been submitted to KDOT. The development is eager to proceed and have started internal site improvements.
On October 14, 2008 the City Commission approved Resolution 6806 setting out the findings and determinations that the project is feasible, and directing the improvements to proceed. The Commission approved waiving the requirement for the development to submit 25% of estimated costs to the City. Additionally, the City Commission, at the development’s request, waived the City’s bid procedures for public improvements allowing the development to secure their own bids.
The City has reviewed the plans and will inspect the project. The development has been very good to work with and have incorporated concrete pavement and energy efficient street/pedestrian lighting into the plans (LED).

Apportionment of costs: 100% of the cost of the improvements shall be paid by the benefit district; 0% by the City at large.
