RE:	ARTBA Ballot Initiatives Report

Please see the attached 2008 Ballot Initiatives Report from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). ARTBA research indicates that nationwide, 27 of the 37 transportation funding initiatives on November 4 ballots were approved by voters. Eleven of the ballot initiatives were sales taxes for transportation, and ARTBA only included Lawrence’s questions #1 and #2 in the count. Of the 11 sales taxes, 8 were approved by voters.
