Background: On September 8, 2008, the Traffic Safety Commission heard a request to permit PARKING along the east side of Jana Drive between Harvard Road & Holiday Drive.
Mark Strand, 1030 Jana Drive, spoke in favor of the request, noting that parking had not been a problem even though the ordinance establishing the restriction had been approved in 1998, but signs had not been installed until earlier this year.
The TSC voted 5-3 to recommend approval of the request; Commissioners Heckler, Miller and Woods felt it would be a hindrance to emergency vehicles; in addition, Commissioner Woods felt it was inconsistent.
