Background: On September 8, 2008, the Traffic Safety Commission heard a request for additional TRAFFIC CONTROL at the intersection of Arrowhead Drive & Peterson Road.
Lauren Reinhold, 520 Brentwood Drive spoke in favor of the request, noting the difficulty crossing Peterson Road due to the speed and volume of traffic and the destinations south of Peterson Road such as Deerfield School and Park.
The TSC voted 7-1 (Commissioner Heckler supported a crossing light) to recommend denial of the request, but recommended that the neighborhood get together to make a specific request. Many residents have gotten together and have submitted a specific request that will be heard at the November Traffic Safety Commission meeting.
