NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Governing Body of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, will meet on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at 6:35 p.m. or thereafter, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 6 East 6th Street to hear any written or oral objections on proposed special assessments because of the following improvements:
The construction of sanitary sewer improvements along Bauer Brook Court west of North Folks Road, including gravity lines within the public right-of-way or utility easement, and related and attendant improvements, property acquisition and other necessary and appropriate improvements.
The total maximum cost of the Improvements shall be two hundred thirty six thousand one hundred and seventy-seven dollars ($236,177.00), of which 100% shall be assessed to the hereinafter described lots, pieces, parcels and tracts of ground specially benefited thereby and 0% shall be paid by the City at large.
The properties to be assessed and the maximum assessment per tract are located in the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 12 South, Range 19 East of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in the City of Lawrence, Douglas County , Kansas and are as follows:

The owners of property within the improvement district are hereby advised that from the publication date of the ordinance levying the maximum assessments, there will be a thirty (30) day period during which said owners may bring action pursuant to K.S.A. 12-6a11, and amendments thereto, to set aside the assessments or otherwise question the validity of the proceedings. After the expiration of said thirty (30) day period, no suit to set aside the assessments, or otherwise question the validity of the proceedings, shall be brought.
Interested parties may see the reports related to the Improvements and the cost thereof in the office of the City Clerk prior to the hearing if they so desire.
