The following equipment is obsolete and is no longer useful to the City.
Public Works Equipment
Public Works has replaced the key in knob locks and handsets in City Hall, the airport, Central Maintenance Garage and the Swan building with complete new systems. The old sets were purchased in the 1980’s and are obsolete. There are approximately 100 used lock sets that we wish to sell which include Arrow, Schlage, Sargent, and Weiser brands.
Information Systems
Information Systems is requesting to sell three printers on Gov Deals. Two are dot matrix printers that were purchased in the early 90’s and replaced four to six years ago. The third is a color laser printer purchased in 2005 for $469.00. It was replaced with an ink jet printer due to the price of the laser cartridges. It is no longer cost effective to replace the cartridges. They cost almost as much as the original price of the printer.
Recommendation Action:
Approve sale of surplus locks and printers on Gov Deals.
