ORDINANCE NO. 8316

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS ALLOWING THE SALE, POSSESSION, AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON CERTAIN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PROPERTY

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to Code Section 4-105(E), the prohibition of the sale, possession, and consumption of alcoholic liquor on public property shall not apply to the 800 block of New Hampshire Street, including City Parking Lot 8 and Lot 4, on Friday, October 3, 2008, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 4, 2008 between the hours of noon and 11:00 p.m., provided the sale, possession and consumption are otherwise pursuant to City and State alcoholic beverage licensing laws and regulations.  

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption and publication as provided by law.
