SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE/SODIUM BISULFITE - UTILITIES DEPARTMENT – #B08071
Utilities Department requested bids for sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulfite. These chemicals used in the treatment of water and wastewater. Our previous contractors defaulted on the 2008 contract requiring us to rebid for this product through the end of the year.
We received only one bid for the sodium bisulfite and do not feel that we received competitive bids. We would like the opportunity to attract more bidders and rebid sodium bisulfite.
This purchase was budgeted in the 2008 budgeting process.
