The following Utilities Department equipment is obsolete and is no longer useful to the City.
SCBA EQUIPMENT
No longer needed at the Clinton Plant due to the removal of the chlorine cylinder feed system.
VACUUM LEAF BLOWER
Purchased in 1984 and is no longer used.
TRASH PUMPS
The seal is out of one pump and the remaining two have not run for years. The pumps were replaced this year.
UTILITY CART
This cart was used for moving bottles of gas and we are no longer using the gas they were purchased for.
FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Was taken out of service when replaced due to age and wear
PALLET JACKS
Will not lift heavy loads, one has been replaced.
GAS DETECTORS
The gas detectors are not working properly, unreliable and have been replaced.
SCRAP, METERS, STAINLESS STEEL, COPPER, AND WIRE
The scrap items are either worn out and have been replaced or obsolete and no longer useful to the City.
THE REMAINDER OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT
The remainder of the equipment is from various locations in the Utilities Department. It was taken out of service during renovations and replaced with smaller and much more efficient equipment. These items are no longer useful to the City.
