CENTRAL MAINTENANCE GARAGE ELECTRICAL SERVICE UPGRADE

Public Works DEPARTMENT – Bid#08073

The Public Works Department requested bids for an upgrade to the electrical service at the Central Maintenance Garage.  The maintenance garage was built in 1976 and there has not been an upgrade in the service.  With the addition of many power tools throughout the years and the new tire shop, we must upgrade the service to bring the building up to meet the City code.

We requested bids from eight vendors and placed the bid on Demand Star.  Three vendors went to the pre-bid meeting however we received only one bid.  The bid has been reviewed and we feel like it is a reasonable price.

This purchase was approved in the 2008 budgeting process.
