Project History. A traffic diverter on 18th Street between Maine Street and Missouri was approved as part of Resolution 6728 on July 17, 2007.

City Commission approved Resolution 6728 authorizing the issuance of bonds for projects outlined in the attached memo. |
Project Description/Status.
· Construct traffic Diverter at 18th & Maine Street.
· Construct two speed cushions on Lawrence Avenue between 9th Street and Harvard Road (bid approved July 1st, 2008).
· Sidewalks on Trail Road, 4th Street, and 6th Street have been completed.
· Plans for the pedestrian crossing on Louisiana were included in the 2008 Overlay and Curb Repair Program, Phase 2, which bid on June 3, 2008.
Project Details. Plans were developed in-house by City staff. Emergency services have reviewed the plan and are satisfied.
Project Funding. The cost is being paid for with general obligation bonds issued by Resolution 6728.
Action Request. Set a bid date of July 22, 2008 for 24-GI3-807(C): 18th Street and Maine Street – Traffic Diverter.
