The Central
Maintenance Garage has joined with Sedgwick County
The credentials of
the officers and board members were approved and the association recognized by
the Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission http://www.evtcc.org/. The EVTCC also granted
special testing dates and sights for training events. A four hour testing
session is offered at each event. Tests are proctored by commission approved
fire department safety officers, trainers or Chief’s.
These tests and
the comparable ASE tests are required for EVT certification. We currently have
five technicians certified in various areas. The goal of the garage is to have
at least two master certified EVT technicians as training progresses.
