TON TRUCK – UTILITIES DEPARTMENT – B08051
The Utilities Department
requested bids for a one ton extended cab and chassis for the Wastewater
Division. This truck will be used for
Wastewater Treatment Plant and lift station maintenance and will haul up to
3200 lbs. of equipment, pumps and motors as well as 1 to 3 people daily. It will also be used to pull single and
tandem axle trailers containing generators and wash down equipment. It will replace Unit 216 which is in poor
condition and has exceeded the requirements for replacement by the Fleet
Manager.
This purchase
was approved in the 2008 budgeting process.
