Dear Dave,

Downtown Lawrence, Inc seeks permission to hang a 25’ X 3’ banner on the north side of the New Hampshire Street parking garage to promote the Downtown Lawrence Film Festival. We would like to hang the banner on June 2, 2008 and leave it in place throughout the summer, removing it August 22, 2008.

The banner will be vinyl with metal grommets hung with ropes. Duane Peterson has been in contact with Steve Bennett to discuss logistics and all are in agreement that the banner can be safely and efficiently hung.

The need for City Commission approval was just brought to my attention yesterday, so I am hopeful that we can get this on the Tuesday, May 27^th agenda.
