City Commission

Re: Sign placement in City Right of Way
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints, located at 3655 West
10th Street, is planning a Free Community
Emergency Preparedness Fair to be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. We wish to ask the Commission for permission
to place two (2) signs on the City right-of-way, in the median, at 10th
and Kasold, north and southbound on Kasold, so participants and attendees will know where to
turn off of Kasold to find the event. The dimensions of the signs are approximately
3 feet by 4 feet and constructed of cardboard or plastic, and will be fastened
to the ground. We would ask that we be
allowed to place the signs in the right-of-way beginning at 5:00pm on Friday,
May 2nd, to guide those who will be participants arriving very early
the next morning to set up booths. We
plan to remove the signs by 2pm
on Saturday, May 3rd, following the conclusion of the event.
We cordially
invite the Commission to attend the event that is open to the entire
community. KMBC TV9 Chief Meteorologist
Bryan Busby will be a keynote speaker, and Douglas County Emergency Responders
will be available with displays. Thank
you for your kind attention to this request.
Sincerely,
Kim
