Temporary Parking
Agreement with Sunflower Broadband
|
Sunflower Broadband has an agreement
with the City for temporary use of metered Lot
16, located south of the Riverfront Parking Garage and east of the old Reuter
Organ buildings on New Hampshire
Street, during Sunflower’s construction project. Per
the agreement, Sunflower pays the City at the rate of $10 per month per metered
parking space for 43 spaces, for a total of $430 per month. The current
agreement was extended on December 18, 2007 and January 29, 2008. Due to inclement weather over the winter and
into the early spring, Sunflower Broadband would like to extend the agreement
until May 31, 2008. Construction access
to Sunflower’s parking lots is expected to be available by the end of this
extension. This lot was one of the least
used lots in downtown and the City views this agreement as appropriate
assistance to the downtown business during their construction and as a means to
recover funds beyond our costs. Staff recommends approval of the extension with
the same terms as the previous agreement.
ACTION: Approve
extension of parking agreement with Sunflower Broadband to use City Lot 16 at
the monthly rate of $10 per metered space for 43 spaces, for a total of $430
per month, until March 1, 2008.
