DUTY CREW CAB AND CHASSIS – UTILITIES – #B08022
Utilities
Department requested bids for a one ton heavy duty crew cab and chassis. This truck is an addition to the fleet and is necessary
to meet increased work load created to meet the American Water Works
Association standards for valve and hydrant maintenance. It will be used to maintain valves and
hydrants not accessible from the curb. The
truck will haul staff and up to 8000 lbs. of tools, valves, hydrants, and will
also pull an equipment trailer. The bid
included an option for a hydraulic crane and an option for hydraulic
tools. All bidders bid $10,746.00 for
the crane, included in the price, and all bidders bid $12,900.00 for the
hydraulic tools, not included in the price.
Utilities wishes to accept the bid including the crane and reject the
option for the hydraulic tools. This
purchase was approved in the 2008 budgeting process.
